acts and more
By Justin Petersen
Staff Writer
Feb. 14 marked a landmark date for the city of Campbell and all
of Silicon Valley when the newly renovated Heritage Theater celebrated
its Gala Ground Opening, hosting world renowned Broadway song and
dance men, Tommy Tune and the Rhythm Kings.
The new and improved theater located at 1 W. Campbell Avenue, #32
in Campbell, seats 780 people in plush new seats, and has booked
several other celebrated acts this year including The Smothers Brothers,
Tony Orlando, The Count Basie Orchestra, and Jim Brickman.
In all, Friends of the Heritage Theater, a local nonprofit organization,
raised nearly $3.5 million, in addition to the city of Campbell’s
$5 million, to aid the former Campbell High School auditorium’s
massive upgrades. The theatre is also available for use by schools,
churches, dance troupes, etc.
Tickets for The Smothers Brothers’ Thurs., Feb. 26 show are
on sale at the Heritage Theater box office. For more information
