What is your most romantic Valentine’s Day memory?
Asked at Almaden Center (Safeway Shopping Center)
“A romantic dinner at La Foret. It was absolutely wonderful. I have a daughter who’s 21 months, and a son who’s 9-years-old, and a husband who travels a lot…so we hadn’t been out in almost a year.”

“My very first Valentine’s Day with my husband (then fiancé). At the last minute, he bought two pickled people in a jar and he wrote, ‘There’s nobody I’d rather be stuck with than you.’”
Brenda Selness, age 44

“A romantic dinner along the 17 freeway. I was told I was going to a really nice dinner and to wear a nice gown, so I got very dressed up. We pulled up to a park by the freeway ramp overpass. He blindfolded me, and placed a table by the ramp with a white tablecloth, dinner with china plates, chocolate-covered strawberries, gifts and roses. For the next week, I heard this story about these crazy people who had a romantic dinner over the freeway, and I got to smile each time knowing it was my Valentine’s Day story.”
Mistie Lonardo, age 32

“He brought in a gourmet dinner, built a fire, and we drank sparkling apple juice from champagne glasses.”
