CRIME STOPPER OF THE WEEK
Carjacking
On Jan. 30 at around 5:25 p.m., a carjacking and robbery occurred
in the parking lot between Painter Elementary and Sheppard Middle
schools in the Alum Rock District of San Jose. The victim, a teacher,
was walking to her car when the suspect threw her to the ground,
injuring her. The suspect and an unknown female associated with
him got into the victim’s car and drove off. The car has been
recovered. The suspect has been described as a Hispanic male approximately
18-20 years old.

CRIME STOPPERS is a cooperative effort between the local media,
San Jose Police Department, and a citizen board of directors. Once
a week an unsolved police case is presented to the public. Citizens
are urged to call 947-STOP if they have information on any other
serious crime. You do not give your name, you are given a code number
and if the tip results in an arrest you receive a reward of up to
$1,000. NO ONE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE.
