“Artists Among Us” is last event at old Almaden Library

Our Almaden Valley community has many talented artists, most of them content to crochet an afghan, throw a pot, or paint a watercolor while remaining unknown and unsung. The Community Center’s third annual “Artists Among Us” exhibit celebrates the creativity of these artists.

“Artists Among Us” highlights the talent and artwork of the Almaden Seniors and the Almaden Community Center participants. On display will be original works in a variety of media, including painting, photography, ceramics, textiles, needlework, fine crafts, digital artwork and writing. Some artwork may be purchased. The exhibit will be held at the Almaden Branch Library, 6455 Camden Ave., on Friday, Feb. 20, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. It will be the last event held at the library before it is demolished to make way for the new library.
