Assault with a deadly weapon
Oakridge Mall
A 17-year-old suspect bought an electronic stun weapon online and used the weapon on a 19-year-old at the mall. She sustained minor injury, red marks to her upper arm. No ambulance was required. An officer developed suspect information and he and a fellow officer contacted the suspect at his home in District Tom. The suspect was on probation for felony vandalism from another county. He was arrested for assault and cited to his parent’s custody. The weapon was recovered and booked.

Strong-armed robbery
Chynowth and Pearl
Officers responded to a citizen reporting a strong-armed robbery that occurred a month ago and sees the suspect. SJPD Officers investigated the incident and through investigative skills were able to arrest of the suspect and recover the stolen property.
Jan. 21
Contributing/furnishing alcohol to minors, assault and battery
Medallion Drive
Officers responded to a fight in the street involving 30-plus juveniles. Upon arrival the subjects had left the area of the street but fled into a nearby residence. Officers determined that the homeowner was contributing to the delinquency of minors by allowing alcohol to be consumed. There were approximately 30 teenagers in the residence. The homeowner was booked into county jail. Two teenagers involved in the fight were treated at a local hospital but declined to press charges.
