3rd Annual King Day Celebration at San José’s
King Library
Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
and
Other Civil Rights Advocates
The community is invited to take part in an afternoon of celebration honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other civil rights advocates on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature live entertainment, story telling and other activities, concluding with an open mike reading of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech by volunteers from the audience. There will be an official welcome by Vice-Mayor Cindy Chavez, in the Civil Rights Collection Area, third floor at 1 p.m. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library is at 150 E. San Fernando St., San José, CA.
